The President Hotel was an abandoned apartment building in Saigon, demolished in 2017. At the time of its building in the late 1950’s and 1960’s it was one of the most modern buildings around with a rooftop swimming pool, a fountain and a dancing hall. In 1964 the American army rented the building to house their soldiers. The soldiers spent their first days in these blocks or before they we transported back to the USA. At the time of this shoot, the once illustrious building was falling into pieces and was occupied with squatters. Rumor has it that the hotel was haunted.
